$2.25 Million in NY Breast Cancer Medical Malpractice Verdict

NY jury finds in favor of a breast cancer survivor, agreeing that a doctor failed to inform the patient of the option of lumpectomy before performing a mastectomy.

An artist/model who found out the lump in her breast was cancerous, promptly took the advice of her surgeon and agreed on being subject to a radical mastectomy, which resulted in the removal of the affected breast two weeks after the first diagnosis. Thereafter, the plaintiff-patient found out the doctor could have removed the tumor and preserved the patient’s breast. The case was successfully litigated to verdict by attorney, John Baldante.
